Malak Adel, Lighting Specialist & Certified DIALux Trainer
Malak Adel is the Course Director and Lighting Specialist at The Lighting Institute. He is also the Business Development Director at BOLD Lighting. Additionally, Malak is a Certified DIALux Evo Trainer and part of DIAL GmbH’s Worldwide Trainer network.
With over 15 years of experience in the lighting industry, Malak has been involved in several international, award-winning, and iconic projects in the Middle East region and Europe. He has since offered a wide range of competencies in lighting design and lighting education. His mission is to share his knowledge and expertise with the lighting community and to promote the value and importance of lighting in architecture and urban design.
The Photoshop in Lighting course is designed to teach you how to create realistic and dynamic lighting effects in your digital artwork. You will learn essential techniques such as adding light sources, enhancing shadows, and creating depth to bring your images to life. The course covers a range of tools and methods, including layer adjustments, blending modes, and brushes, to manipulate light and shadow effectively. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this course provides practical, hands-on exercises to help you master lighting in Photoshop and elevate the quality and impact of your visual creations.

Jelena is a mentor and marketing advisor at The Lighting Institute, where she is committed to raising awareness about the importance of the lighting design profession in the MENA region.
As the driving force behind Foundry Light Design Studio in Dubai, Jelena brings over a decade of invaluable experience from leading international lighting design firms in the Middle East and the United States. Throughout her career, she has been celebrated as a highly creative and passionate lighting designer with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail. She excels at integrating design trends, technological expertise, and experience to craft unique landscape, facade, and interior lighting designs.
Jelena’s artistic flair, combined with her mastery of Photoshop, enables her to produce exceptional, top-tier designs. She holds a Master’s Degree in Architectural Lighting Design from Hochschule Wismar, Germany.
